I made my first full run here today. It was to a place on the corner of Cass and Selden. It looked a bit like a castle to me. It was burnt out though, pretty bad, and I think it was just a meeting place, not anywhere people live. The guy I gave it to looked pretty typical factory worker, except he was wearing riot armor that didn't exactly fit. I didn't ask where he got it, I think I can guess. Sleeping at the opera house, I can get the detention center's Internet connection from here with a LRA.

There was a big raid on the Renaissance Center last night. Tons of pigs moving around in LRVs, plus a tank. I guess it was a escape point to the Free Lands, even though they took out the tunnel a long time ago. Idiots, I could have told them they didn't have a hope that close to Belle. I think one of the pigs might have noticed something a little strange about me, so I'm gonna find a new place to sleep. The stage of the opera house was getting creepy anyway.

I've been here a month now. This place is a lot worse than LA, it's like a warzone. I've been sleeping in the old refinery off of Fisher, and you can hear the shots from the assault on the Ford safehouse almost a mile away. The LTs seem to be holding on. The blues may have made some gains here, but I think they're playing their cards too soon, and too close to the border. I've got a new contract, I'm heading over to a Safehouse to get it, the big transit hub at South Grosse Ile. I don't know how I'll get across, but I guess they manage somehow, so so can I.

My stay here has been short and sweet. I'm heading out to the Badlands tommorrow, and I'm going to miss this city's peace and stability. And having air safely under 100 mGy. Specifically, I'm going to Safehouse Ithaca, 100 miles or so northwest. According to this guy Rosen, it's one of their big R&D centers. That's only 20 miles away from the Mt. Pleasant silo, and that got hit pretty hard. I might use the advance on this job to go grab some DGray from my local agent of the black market (this creepy guy named Jaron. He sells all sorts of shit, from heroin to M-32s).
